Robinson released by Colts, AFC quarterbacks sigh with relief

How is it that the winner of the Pat Tillman Pac-10 defensive player of the year manages to go undrafted and then gets cut before he ever plays a down? Probably because the west coast media knows less about defense that the actual Pac-10 does. Hard to admit, but Oregon's Ngata was probably a better overall player. Dale Robinson was slated by NFL scouts as being too small to play linebacker and too slow to play safety. The Manimal was definitely never short on tenacity, however. He was a junior college transfer that played with a mean streak that Frank Kush Field hasn't seen since Mitchell "Fright Night" Freedman roamed the Sun Devil secondary. Hopefully the similarities end there.

In good news, former ASU wide reciever Derek Hagan just inked a four-year deal with the Dolphins. In even better news however I'm heading off to Portsmouth, Virginia to see Widespread Panic tonight. Woo hoo!
